The Retreat

Loved the cottage. It was very comfortable, a home away from home. The location was wonderful, very serene and beautiful. We had everything we needed there. Staff was very responsive to requests. We stayed 9 nights and loved staying there.

Cabin was clean and comfortable. Good assortment of cookware in kitchen. Beds were comfortable, cabin was cozy and the grounds were well maintained. Awesome to watch the transports from Dover AFB flying around and the Air Museum was a cool place to visit. Hope to visit again.

Cabin was spacious and very clean. Had enough room for family of 5 - 7 people. The owner of the property was friendly and attended to any need you might have. If you are visiting Dover Air Force Base or the Mobility Museum, the property is right around the corner.

Convenient and quiet location. The cabin was the perfect size and the layout made it feel much bigger than it was! Everything we could need was provided and was way better than staying at a hotel for this work trip. Will book again!

Having the opportunity to stay so close to our daughter's wedding venue was amazing. The "tiny house" cottage concept was absolutely perfect.. we were not inside much (mostly to sleep during the busy weekend) but the location and amenities were so convenient!! Plenty of towels and personal use toiletries in each cottage was a great touch (we could have used some extra rolls in the bathroom but an Instart order fixed that right up!). The picnic tables at each site provided a great meet up place for family and friends to gather during our down time in the beautiful weather. Event staff was so attentive and available the entire stay! The Retreat at King Cole is a 10/10 recommendation.

We found this campground last minute and were so glad we did! Booking online was quick and easy, and the price was much lower than others nearby. It’s not a resort-style park, but it’s very clean, quiet, and easy to get around. The owner, Jim, and the mascot dog, Rico, made us feel welcome. Great location behind Dover AFB and close to Pickering Beach, where you can see horseshoe crabs. Perfect spot to explore Dover without the high cost — we’d definitely stay here again!

The retreat at King Cole Farms was the perfect place for me! I’m a traveling nurse with a fifth wheel. I was able to work and come home easily. This is a smaller, clean and safe RV park with 50 amp service. They also have charming little cottages for rent if you have the need. The owners are wonderful and responsive to any needs. The groundskeepers are friendly and love well-behaved dogs. My new home was remote enough for country quiet and easy on / off highway to shopping and beaches! I would definitely recommend staying there but save a spot for me because I will try to go back!

We loved our stay in the cottage, it was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for arelaxing weekend. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing evenings. Location was great,quiet and secluded but close to several beaches, restaurants. I would recommend this retreat and would definitely stay here again!
